Can we pick out our puppy in person?

As much as we wish everyone could pick out there puppy in person, we have to take their health and safety into consideration. Puppies are not fully protected until they have received their last booster at 16 weeks. Therefore, we minimize their exposure to communicable diseases by limiting visitors. We even ask family and friends not to come by unless invited. We rarely have visitors and when we do we have a bleach solution spray bottle and a bleach bucket ready for the disinfecting process. Additionally, I am a single Mom with children to care for. Due to recent scares, I prefer to keep my exact address private out of protection for myself and my kids. Unfortunately, we live in a day that requires extra precaution be taken. We even ask that puppy buyers meet us at a public location rather than our home for pickup.

All puppy selections are done via picture and/or video. We are also open to Facetime or video chat after your selection has been narrowed down to your top two.

Are Goldendoodles good for people with allergies?

F1 goldendoodles can be good for someone with mild to moderate allergies. For severe allergies a pure bred poodle or F1b Goldendoodles are usually a better fit.

Will my Goldendoodle shed?

While Goldendoodles are considered to be low-moderate shedding, the amount of shedding is greatly dependent on coat type, environment, stress levels, hormones and nutrition. A good general rule of thumb though not always accurate: The curlier the coat the less they will shed.

How can I minimize shedding?

Many of my buyers prefer the look of straight and wavy coat doodles. To minimize shedding groom them frequently and brush daily. Ensure they are provided a stress free environment and always feed high quality nutritious food.

How much will my puppy weigh as an adult?

Our mini’s typically fall within the 20-35 lb range as an adult. Our small standards fall within the 45-60 lbs range. Our full standards generally fall within the 55lb-75lb range. Males are more likely to reach the high end of the range than females. Keep in mind we CAN NOT guarantee an adult weight. Weight is highly impacted by activity levels and food intake.

What does the puppy boot camp include?

The puppy boot camp lasts about 3 weeks. During this time your puppy will undergo training courses that solidify basic commands such as sit, lay down, come, and more. Additional training includes the puppies learning to not jump, play biting inhibition, and crate training.

How does the potty training included with your program work?

Puppies are taught to use an indoor potty area. Usually, a litter box with pine pellets. This teaches them there are specific spots to go potty. This does not mean they will be fully house broken. They still need to learn where you want them to go potty. Having to learn to tell you when they need out is a new skill they have to learn as well. Additionally, just like kids, puppies learn at different rates and have different levels of adherence. Be patient with your puppy during the house breaking stage. They are new to your home and will eventually get the hang of what you want them to do. We provide detailed instructions on housebreaking your puppy. Those who follow it completely have had amazing success and deal with very few, if any, accidents.

Does your health guarantee cover parasites and worms?

Parasites and worms are not covered in our health guarantee. Most dogs and puppies will contract a parasite at some point in his/her life. This is something you will have to regularly watch for due to the high rate of incidence in dogs. If your dog begins to lose weight rapidly or has severe diarrhea, have your vet take a fecal sample to test for parasites. We also highly recommend regularly de-worming. We take random fecal samples from puppies before they are delivered to their owners. If the sample were to come back positive for parasites the entire litter would be treated prior to delivery. If it is clear no treatment is needed. However, there is still a risk of exposure in transit.
